We have a teenager in the house!!!  Logan at 13 is fun, funny, serious and a typical distracted teen. He likes his kindle fire, his Nintendo 3DS with Pokemon Moon, his large collection of soccer jerseys from around the world, playing soccer on teams. And friends. He has a unique group of guy friends who he enjoys messing around with, being goofy with and talking all things video-game. He had a party at Laser-Quest and even I joined in for a game!

Me and my firstborn!

Ah my Sylvie- about to turn 11. Year 10 has been a great one for her! She is full of energy (oh I would love to borrow some of that!) She's big on dancing. She jumped into ballet classes in August and she made it into the Nutcracker! As my cousin said- I'm busier than anyone she knows. It was chaos getting to everything for everyone but SO worth it. I loved seeing these little people shine this year. And they inspired me to find my own groove. I'm on the job hunt for the next best thing and heading into the new year with a plan to visit Seattle and train for a software intense 3-day seminar. I'm also ready to take my licensure exams this year.

My littlest one- She had us laughing for sure! 5 years young, tiny little thing. Cute as can be. Difficult trying to get her to wash, brush, or sleep. But easy to get her to laugh, smile or enjoy.

*"Mom, the Grinch came to my preschool and dyed our milk green!" "Did you see him?" (thinks for awhile) "Well I think the Kitchen lady must have gotten into a big fight with him and made him go away so he couldn't see us. That's why he didn't say hi."
*"Mom, we need to get another gift for Carly besides the new bed. We need to get this ornament for her tree." Me: "The little tree you got is for her now?" "Yes. She's a girl so it's for all the girls."
*(tv): "What is your favorite holiday to celebrate?" Venice: "Kwanzaa." Me: "Venice, how do you celebrate Kwanzaa?" Venice: "We all gather around Carly's Tree."

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year from the Barrero Family!!! Our big gift to the kids is a trip to Disney World- we can hardly wait!
