Tonight I was reading the Richard Scary book to Venice, looking for goldbug. I had some very visceral flashbacks to reading the book to Logan and Sylvie. Up on Logan's bed, in the room that is now the girl's room, one child on each side. I remember just how adorable Sylvie sounded saying "Goldbug" with a thick accented "k" to the end. And the pages that Logan liked (Army guys, airplane, anything with a ball in it, anything funny).
It was really neat flashing back to that. Someday when I'm reading it to my grandchildren, I'll probably flash back to reading it to Venice.
