Sometimes they really do listen!

We were walking outside in a recent warm-ish day and to distract the kids I told them every house has a name and started naming some on our street "Ranch" "Farmhouse" "Georgian" "Yellow House." I like to teach them about some architecture in a subtle way. That day they were not listening, and wouldn't stop whining that mom made them walk outside (they got this from my husband for sure!) and it was windy and the sidewalk was wet, whine whine whine.

So a week later, I'm in the front waiting for Logan's bus with Sylvie and she says "What is our house's name again? And the one across the street? What's that called?" Oh, our house is called "Georgian" by the way:)

She remembered!
